Software

There
is a licensing cost for all software installed on a computer.
These software purchases are handled via a "Fund
Transfer Document". (Instead of including it on the
PO for the purchase of the new equipment.) Software costs
need to be taken into consideration during computer purchases.
All Software must be installed by a VCUHS Information Systems technician to ensure
proper installment and to unlock the PC so that the installation
can occur.
The Windows 2000 computers in the VCUHS environment are locked down
to control the installation of games, software which will cause
problems with Windows 2000, improper installation, and illegal
installation (improper licensing) of software. |
